Abril Olalde ‘24

Abril Jimena Olalde Rocha is a proud product of South Central Los Angeles. She is a first year at UCLA majoring in pre-political science. Before UCLA, Abril made a name for herself in her community by advocating from issues such as latinx inclusion at state events to environmental awareness in low income communities.

At UCLA she hopes to involve herself and find ways to help her city of angels. Whether that be in some form of advocacy group, volunteer work, or culture preservation.

Ultimately she aspires to earn a law degree. Her dream is to be an immigration lawyer and help the community that raised her, prosper and flourish. Now with this scholarship she is one step closer to completing her life long goal. She is honored to be a Norma J. Enrlich Alumni scholar and will continue to work to advocate for her community.
