Danielle Pigeon, ’22
Danielle Pigeon is a current senior at UCLA, finishing her degrees in Sociology and English. Danielle is enormously grateful for the Norma J. Ehrlich scholarship as it has provided not only financial support, but more importantly, a network and community of strong, passionate, and inspiring women.
Through the UCLA department of Undergraduate Admissions, Danielle has been able to develop her passion for youth pursuit of higher education in both philanthropic and professional capacities, as a Cub Tour Guide and Bruin Ambassador, respectively. In both roles, Danielle guides and encourages prospective students through the admissions process. Additionally, she leads UCLA Cru as the Connect Director, coordinating its weekly meetings that serve as a touchpoint for the chapter. Danielle is also involved as a reporter in “The Quad” section at the Daily Bruin, where she analyzes current cultural trends and events in order to give them relevance to the UCLA student body. Additionally, Danielle is a Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O) Star Scholar.
In her free time, Danielle enjoys finding hidden natural spots around LA by foot and by bike as well as baking. She aspires to become an advocate for victims of sexual assault, and eventually receive her PhD in English Literature.
