Lilah Haye, ’22

Lilah graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in Public Affairs, a B.A. in Dance, and a minor in African American Studies. At UCLA, Lilah was a member of the Regents Scholars Society and worked as a student assistant at the James West Alumni Center. During her time at UCLA, Lilah also interned for former U.S. Senator and former U.S. Vice President, Kamala Harris, as well as former California State Assemblymember, Lorena Gonzalez.

After graduating from UCLA, Lilah moved to Las Vegas to be a Raiderette with the Las Vegas Raiders. As a Raiderette, Lilah performed at Raiders football games, participated in community outreach events, and served as the lead of the Raiderettes Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. During her second season as a Raiderette, Lilah secured another job within the Raiders as a Government and Community Relations Coordinator. Lilah, using both her UCLA degrees, worked both on and off the football field with the Raiders.

Even though Lilah has now retired from the Raiderettes, she still continues to work for the Raiders and has since been promoted to a Government and Community Relations Specialist. As someone with a passion for public policy and community engagement, Lilah uses a proactive and thorough approach to lead innovative and impactful initiatives within the Raiders Organization. Most notably, for the 2024 General Election, Lilah spearheaded the Raiders NFL/Las Vegas Votes initiative, which resulted in Allegiant Stadium being recognized as the first election supersite in Clark County, with over 4,200 voters casting their ballots at the home of the Raiders on Election Day. Using her expertise of the intersection between public policy and sports, Lilah and the Raiders were able to broaden the appeal of voting and strengthen civic engagement.

Receiving the Norma J. Ehrlich Alumni Scholarship not only helped Lilah financially, but has given her a network of mentors and the opportunity to meet many amazing women. Lilah couldn’t imagine her UCLA experience without being an Ehrlich Scholar. Lilah is proud, and honored to be a part of a group of such extraordinary women.
