Lauren Mittleman, ‘25

Lauren Mittleman is a first-year at UCLA from Manhattan Beach, CA pursuing a BS in Cognitive Science, BA in Communication, and a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media.

In high school, Lauren was Editor-in-Chief of her school’s newspaper, founder and president of the Young Survival Coalition club to raise money for and support women with breast cancer, and captain of various sports teams, including soccer, rugby, and lacrosse. She was an active member of National Honor Society and Link Crew, a program to help new students transition into high school. Lauren also has a passion for community service and volunteered through National Charity League, Girl Scouts, and her city’s Sustainability Youth Task Force.

At UCLA, Lauren looks forward to joining a sports team, writing for The Daily Bruin, and rushing a social sorority and pre-law fraternity. She is additionally interested in joining the Bruin Belles Service Association and becoming a campus tour guide and a camp counselor at Bruin Woods. Lauren hopes to spend her junior year abroad in Spain to become fluent in Spanish. She aspires to have a career in entertainment or criminal law.

Lauren so appreciates Craig Ehrlich’s generosity and wants to express her sincere gratitude to him for making the Norma J. Ehrlich Scholarship Fund possible. She was thrilled to learn of her selection for this honor and is deeply appreciative of the program’s support.
